I think that user roles and permissions can often become more complicated, and typically they're at the application level in the specific domain of your product. Clerk does provide some capabilities around this, but I'd love to see that go deeper. While the free tier is generous (10,000 monthly active users and 100 organizations), costs increase significantly at higher volumes or if advanced features are needed. For example, after 10,000 MAUs, each additional user is $0.02/month, and certain features (like unlimited social logins, SMS codes, user impersonation, or custom roles) require moving to paid plans or add-ons.
